Civilized Entertainment Presents
A television series to smash stigma…
As the pandemic continues to upend our lives we are now facing an unprecedented global mental health crisis.
Depression is one of the leading causes of disability
Suicide is the second leading cause of death among 15-29-year-olds
Many families share our families story; we lost a brother, a proud Navy veteran, who was Bi Polar and after ten years of being homeless - sadly took his own life. Our family tried everything to save him and along the way we learned a lot about mental health, mental illness and care.
That is why we chose Bi Polar Disorder in our first film collaboration with Showtime, to honor our lost brother and to guide Mauro Ranallo on his journey to becoming an activist.

People with severe mental health conditions die prematurely – as much as two decades early – due to preventable physical conditions.
YES, you read that correctly, preventable!
Currently, social stigmas discourage families and communities from seeking help and many sufferers end up in correctional institutions or homeless. The average length of time to seek treatment for severe mental illness is 10 years.
We can’t wait that long or risk any more lives!
That IS the Truth about Mental Health - and why we are creating this television series.
Many passionate people and corporations have joined this important fight.
Heavy Weight World Champion, Tyson Fury sat down with Mauro Ranallo to talk about why sharing your story is so important to helping others.
After the film aired, thousands of people reached out to share their stories of hope and healing….
Our movie was saving lives, by sharing the truth.
The Truth About Mental Health is our next awareness project.
The series features celebrities and influencers joining the fight against stigma by sharing their experiences with mental health and encouraging others to join.
Our partners will provide the best mental health medical, social and self care information throughout the series providing the viewer with valuable tools to recognize and support anyone struggling.
Together, WE can smash the stigmas surrounding mental health and save lives.
