A letter from our Executive Director

Its been four years since we formalized our non profit organization and its been an honor to lead such a passionate team of philanthropists and sponsors. We have grown in many positive ways and our impact continues to reach new heights with each passing year.

My goal in this letter is to update everyone on our progress and new campaigns in the coming year.

Our charity was founded on the principles and lessons that Bob Shamrock taught thousands of young men at the Shamrock Boys Ranch. These included doing what was right, helping the less fortunate and protecting others with knowledge or action.

Our first campaigns were targeted at incarcerated youth awarding scholarships to those who were inspired to change their lives. We entered juvenile halls and youth prisons to share the message and many young men followed the path that I did, using martial arts as a tool to grow into good men. I am proud to say that these campaigns saved a lot of boys from a life in prisons. This was made possible by a continuing grant from Frank Shamrock Inc and our many wonderful sponsors.

Next we focused on helping law enforcement, hoping to protect both the officers and those being arrested by sharing the knowledge learned in 16 years of combat training powered by Shamrock MMA and MMALE, two assets donated to the Shamrock Way by Frank Shamrock Inc.

Those programs filled our beginning years until realizing that battered woman could use our support and techniques so a program was created to serve individual communities and female groups at risk.

This was in the early days of my retirement from sports and I had plenty of time to travel to each community personally and help implement each program. Over the next couple of years we began to expand our partnerships and sponsorships realizing that many great companies and communities had similar passions to help. Our home builds were made possible in partnership with Hope Sports, our battered woman’s program was the result a partnership with the Fresno Police Department and partnerships became an important part of our groups process.

By far our most successful partnership has been with Showtime Networks creating digital content (BiPolar Rock-n-Roller) with the intention of smashing the stigma surrounding mental health. With the release of this film we reached millions of people around the world, using technology.

One of our core missions remains to reopen the Shamrock Boys Ranch, which closed after my fathers passing, and that vision has not been lost. We recognize that our society has changed and we trust that God will lead us to what will have the most impact for the most people. Right now, digital media is having the most impact around the world.

In 2020, we will continue our home building campaigns, veterans scholarships and supporting partnerships with quality social charities - while we create new digital media content that ends the stigma around mental illness.

I am so thankful to everyone that has partnered, supported, donated and volunteered with the Shamrock Way, it has been the best days of my life sharing my fathers legacy with all of you.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,

Frank Shamrock
