Apollo has landed...

Disclaimer: This title is a result of a group vote, one that I lost…

But since I am writing the story, the choices are mine from here on.

Now I should start by saying that I love the idea of being in space, space travels, and like many young men once dreamt of being an astronaut but this story has nothing to do with NASA or exploring space.

That is the reason why I had another title in mind.

This is a story about the impact of our film, The BiPolar Rock-n-Roller, which has touched so many lives and continues to help people who are suffering.

In case you have not seen the film you can watch it here courtesy of Showtime Networks: BiPolar Rock-n-Roller

In this story a senior executive at Apollo Management Group watches the film and becomes inspired to take action.

That action become the basis of implementing mental health programs for the companies in their portfolio which by the way have about 400,000 employees.

I was invited to speak and show the film to the directors of Human Resources at the annual conference in Las Vegas along with other powerful speakers who shared their own stories to bring awareness to mental health.

This was a special moment for our charity and our collective dreams came true.

I am so grateful to all our volunteers, supporters, advisors and donors who believed in this movie.

Most of all, we are thankful to Mauro Ranallo for sharing his journey to help others find the courage to share their experiences.

With warmest regards,

Frank Shamrock

Executive Director/Mentor

This story would not be complete with a quote from the Apollo team:

The important achievement of Apollo was demonstrating that humanity is not forever chained to this planet and our visions go rather farther than that and our opportunities are unlimited.
